Flatbread

Hands down the absolutely easiest bread to make of them all. It only needs five ingredients and slightly over an hour of your time (most of it is really just waiting for the dough to rise to fluffy, airy state). It’s a therapeutic process too, you knead together flour, sugar, salt, water, then roll it out and simply be still. That’s a state called resting, which applies both to the bread and yourself. Now straight out of an oily heated pan, resist temptation to pinch at it- for flatbreads go best with toppings. Crumbly feta cheese, salty olives, sweet grapes and a fresh scatter of salad. Now that’s how you have it.

Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients to form dough ball

    •  Combine yeast, sugar, flour and salt in a large bowl.
    • Add water and using hands, combine together to form a ball.


  2. Knead dough

    • Sprinkle flour on a flat surface and knead dough on a flat surface.
    • Stop kneading when dough is smooth and elastic


  3. Let dough rise

    • Place dough in a bowl coated with oil
    • Cover with damn cloth and set aside for 1 hour.


  4. Divide and roll dough

    • After risen, place dough and divide into four balls
    • Using rolling pin, roll dough.
