4 sprigs of fresh thyme
1 lemon, quartered
1 whole spring chicken, giblets removed
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Remove giblets and wash the chicken.
Place thyme sprigs and lemon quarters into the chicken cavity.
Season with salt and pepper and rub all over chicken.
Place chicken, breast-side up, in the air-fryer basket.
Make sure to pat the chicken dry before preparing to achieve a crispy skin texture.
Set the air fryer to 180°C and cook for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, carefully turn the chicken over, and cook for another 20 minutes.
Transfer the chicken to a cutting board.
Let rest for 10 minutes, cut to desired number of pieces and serve.
