  • ½ kg fatty mince beef

  • salt and pepper

  • 1 tbsp fish sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce

  • 4 burger buns

  • 1 large onion (sliced)

  • 12 slices cheddar cheese

  • 1 tomato (sliced)

  • 10 slices of beef bacon

  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise

Cheesy Bacon Beef Burgers

You don't need to wait for 4th of July to sink your teeth into this juicy, crispy, classic American Cheese Bacon Burger. Each bite is bursting with sweet and savory flavours - the crusty toasted buns give way to the fresh crunch of onion and tomatoes, followed by oozing cheese over the fatty minced beef that's grilled to perfection. Any day can be a cheat day with this intensely rich food experience.

Instructions

  1. Toast buns

    • Brush the buns from inside with butter and place cut side down on a hot pan or griddle till golden and crusty.


  2. Make beef patties

    • Add 1 tsp worcestershire sauce and fish sauce. Gently mix. 
    • Shape patties and make indentation in the middle.


  3. Cook patties

    • Heat a non-stick skillet and melt 2 tbsp butter till it starts to brown. 
    • Cook for 2 minutes one each side. 


  4. Assemble burger

    • Mix 2 tbsp Dijon with 2 tbsp of mayonnaise and spread on the bun from inside. 
    • Place lettuce, then slices of tomatoes and onions then the burger patty topped with melted cheese and a slice of bacon. 
    • Top with another patty, then bacon and top bun.
