300 g white tofu
300 ml cooking oil, for frying tofu
20 ml cooking oil, to sauté
10 g garlic, chopped
30 g onion, thinly sliced
30 g big red chili, thinly sliced
20 g red cayenne pepper, thinly sliced
15 g leeks, thinly sliced
50 ml water
Seasoning:
50 g sweet soy sauce
3 g salt
3 g sugar
5 g chicken stock powder
10 g fried onion
Cut the tofu into 2 cm by 1 cm cubes. Then fry until slightly golden. Remove and set aside.
In a pan over medium heat, saute the chopped garlic and onions until fragrant and slightly browned.
Then add all the ingredients to be sauteed, and stir fry until wilted.
Add the water and seasoning ingredients. Stir until well mixed.
Lastly, add the tofu and stir until all the ingredients are well combined and the flavors have absorbed into the tofu. Turn off the heat.
Prepare a serving plate, transfer the Tahu Kecap Pedas to the plate, garnish with fried onion and serve.
