Tahu Goreng Crispy is exactly what its name suggests! Coated in a creamy batter seasoned with chicken powder and coconut milk, white tofu is fried till golden brown to create an addictive Indonesian snack with a satisfying crunch. Instructions

  1. Prepare tofu

    • Cut the tofu into 3cm cubes.
    • In a bowl, add water, minced garlic, chicken powder and stir well till dissolved.
    • Add tofu and let it sit for 15 – 20 minutes. Set aside.


  2. Prepare batter

    • In a bowl, add rice flour, tapioca flour, egg yolks, baking powder, chicken powder, water and coconut milk. Combine well and set aside.

  3. Fry tofu

    • In a frying pan with preheated oil, fry some tofu and about 100ml of the batter together. The batter will stick to the tofu and will create a crispy crust. Remove when golden brown. Repeat for all
