    250 gr flour

    5 gr chicken powder

    50 gr tapioca flour

    5gr salt

    1 egg yolk

    2 white eggs

    100 gr Instant coconut milk

    50 gr margarine (liquify)

    500 gr water

     

    Filling Ingredient:

    350 gr chicken breast

     

    Spices:

    2 sticks lemongrass (smashed & tied in knot form)

    4 bay leaves 

    4 lime leaves

     

    Seasoning :

    100 gr instant coconut milk 

    5 gr Salt

    10 gr Chicken Powder

    25 gr Sugar

    3 gr White Pepper

    50 gr Margarine 

    Ground Seasoning :

    40 gr Shallots

    30 gr Garlic 

    20 gr candlenuts

    4 gr coriander

     

    Dipping :

    3 eggs

    An Adequate bread crumbs

     

    Cooking oil 

    Green Cayenne 

    Chilli Sauce (optional)

Sosis Solo

Sosis Solo, or Solo Sausage, is a minced meat omelette roll served during teatime. A traditional Indonesian snack from Central Java, it is adapted from an old Dutch recipe for sausage and offers the perfect mix of sweet and savory flavors. Best enjoyed with bird’s eye chili for a spicy kick.

Instructions

  1. Wrapping Making

    • Prepare a medium size of bowl, mix altogether using balloon whisk until everything well mixed then filter it so no flour granules left. Set aside.
    • Preheat a pan or non-sticky pan, pour an adequate batter, wait until it is half cooked. Lift it and repeat the process until all batter done.

  2. Filling making & sosis rolling

    • Boil the chicken breast using the spices. Left a lemongrass for the sautee process. Boil the chicken breast , shred it and set aside.
    • Ground all the ground seasoning, then preheat the pan with oil inside, and sautee the grounded seasoning.
    • After the ground seasoning cooked well, add the shredded chicken and stir well. Cook all the filling until all the seasoning goes inside and is a little bit dry. Lift it ansd set aside.
    • Take a wrapping sosis we have prepared before, add the filling in the middle part of the wrapping’s end +/- 1 tbsp, then fold the left and right end to the centre . Try to make it equally fold at the right and left side, then roll the chicken filling part forward until the end of wrapping and set aside. Repeat until all is done.
    • After all have been rolled, prepare the dipping, dip the sosis to the egg then roll it onto bread crumb and repeat the process until all is done. Set aside

  3. Frying

    • Prepare the frying pan and preheat the oil then fry the sosis we have prepared before until it gets brown, lift it and set aside.

Plate and Serve!

Prepare the serving plate, arrange the sosis solo on the plate, garnish to beautify then serve with sauce or fresh chilli if you like.
