    35 gr Ground Garlic

    7 gr soy sauce

    7 gr Fish Sauce

    3 gr chicken powder

    4 gr white pepper powder

    6 gr MSG (optional)

     

    Sambal Sate:

    14 gr cooking oil

    20 gr Cayenne Pepper

    34 gr Big Red Chili

    35 gr garlic

    4 gr Ginger (Peel the Skin)

    10 gr Chicken Powder

    18 gr sugar

    1 pcs Limo/Lime

    100 ml water

Unlike other traditional sate found in Indonesia, Sate Taichan is grilled without the usual soy sauce glaze, and served without their signature peanut sauce. Marinated with simple ingredients for a savory taste, these meat skewers are paired with a side of zesty sambal instead.

Instructions

  1. Marinating Chicken

    • Cut the chicken into 1 inch cubes size, then marinate with grounded garlic, Soy Sauce, Fish Soy Sauce, chicken powder, ground white pepper, MSG and cooking oil, let it rest for 15-30 minutes.

  2. Grilling Satay

    • Prepare the skewer and skew 4-5 pieces on each skewer, repeat until finish.
    • Grill the satay until the colour turns to brown or according to your preference.

  3. Make sambal

    • Boil the chili ingredients of red cayenne, Big Red Chili, garlic, and ginger over medium heat until cooked then puree,
    • Prepare the sauce pan, then add the mashed chili then add water and cooking oil, Chicken Powder, & Sugar. Cook until it boils and thickens over medium heat then add the lime juice.

Garnish and Serve!

Prepare a serving plate, arrange the taichan satay on a serving plate then serve it with chili sauce, you can pour it over the satay or serve it separately.
