In this Gurame Sambal Mangga recipe, the fish is paired with a unique sambal which uses mangoes as its main ingredient. Instructions

  1. Deep fry fish

    • Marinate the fish with some salt and lime and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
    • In a frying pan over medium heat with some oil, fry the fish until golden brown.
    • Lift and set aside.

  2. Make sambal mangga

    • Cut the mangoes into the size of a matchstick and set aside.
    • Coarsely grind curly red chilies, red chilies, shallots, garlic, brown sugar, sugar, shrimp and salt.
    • Add the juice of a lime and mango slices and stir well

Plate and Serve!

Drizzle the sambal mango sauce above the fish and serve.
