Cireng Bumbu Rujak

{{totalReview}}
A popular street snack with Sundanese origins, Cireng is usually made with basic ingredients of tapioca starch, water and garlic. Known for its crispy exterior and chewy interior, this addictive treat can be enjoyed in multiple ways - steamed, egg-coated, or even stuffed with meat. While Cireng can be eaten on its own or simply dipped in chili sauce, it is served with a spicy nutty rujak sauce in this quick and easy recipe.

  2. Preparing the cireng

    • In a small pan, mix the ingredients. Mix thoroughly, and ensure the ingredients mesh together before the stove/heat is turned on.

  3. Heat Pan & Fry

    • Turn on the stove, and begin to heat the mixture at normal heat, until the mixture is thick and slightly dense.
    • Take off heat, and continue to mix with the dried mix of Tapioca Flour until thorough, then break off the dough into small balls (this recipe would make 20-30 piece)
    • Once formed into the shapes like small UFO’s deep fry in 1 litre of oil until it floats to the surface with very light to golden color finish
