Honey roasted bananas are very popular with Indonesians. Apart from its distinctive smoky aroma, Pisang Bakar Madu has a sweet taste and a creamy texture, making it super delicious. A quick and simple snack to prepare for friends or family for tea time.

Directions

  1. Boil the bananas

    • Boil the bananas until they are cooked. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.

    Use bananas of choice.

  2. Add honey and grill

    • After cooling, peel the bananas and gently press them a little to flatten them, taking care not to squish them completely. 

    • Smear the bananas with honey and grill them until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.

Plate and Serve!

  • Prepare a serving plate, and arrange the bananas on the plate with the remainder of the honey.
