Mint Squash Drink

Mint Squash is a fabulous thirst quencher on hot days. Refreshing and rejuvenating, especially when out and about soaking up the rays of Vitamin D. Tangy and mildly sweet, with the aroma of lemon and mint, this drink is a must-have for those long hot days.

Directions

  1. Prepare the lemon juice

    • Cut the lemon in half, and squeeze the juice. Set aside.


  2. Boil the mint leaves

    • In a saucepan, add water, mint leaves and granulated sugar. Boil using medium heat, just until it comes to a boil, and the sugar dissolves, with  the wafting aroma of mint.

    • Turn off the heat and cool to room temperature.

  3. Combine the ingredients

    • Add ice cubes into a glass and pour in the cooled liquid.

    • Add a dash of lemon juice.

Garnish and serve!

  • Garnish with mint leaves and lemon slices.

  • Serve.
