500 g glutinous rice
½ grated coconut
1 tsp salt
Soak the glutinous rice for 2- 3 hours then wash thoroughly.
Steam the soaked glutinous rice for 1 hour.
Remove the steamed glutinous rice and put it in a bowl.
Make sure the glutinous rice is really cooked so that it is easier to mash. Line with plastic so that it doesn't stick during the compressing process.
White glutinous rice can be replaced with black glutinous rice.
Remove and mash the glutinous rice until it’s smooth, and put it into a bowl around 15 cm in diameter, and 2 - 3 cm high.
Press down on the contents in the mold until it turns solid. Then remove from bowl and cut according to size preference.
Besides baking, Jadah can also be fried.
