For Amritsari Tawa Machli Marinade:
500 g fish chunks (cut into 2-inch chunks)
10 g ginger-garlic paste (5g ginger + 5 g garlic)
3 g Ajwain (carom seeds)
5 g red chili powder
3 g black pepper powder
3 g Amchur (dry mango powder)
3 g Garam Masala
2 g turmeric powder
5 g lime juice
10 ml mustard oil
2 to 3 g salt to taste
For the Batter:
60 g Besan (gram flour)
10 ml mustard oil
2 g turmeric powder
3 g red chili powder
2 g baking soda
3 g lime juice
3 g Ajwain (carom seeds)
For Garnishing and Serving:
few sprigs of fresh coriander
1 white onion, thinly-sliced
2 to 3 lime wedges
coriander chutney
Serve the fish hot along with lime wedges, raw onion slices and a few sprigs of coriander. Enjoy the Amritsari Machli with a side of delicious coriander and mint chutney
