Beef Salpicao (Filipino Garlic Beef)

A fuss-free Filipino dish that only takes five ingredients to make! Simply marinate the beef in garlic, Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste for at least 30 minutes (or overnight if you want the beef to fully soak up all the umami flavors), before pan-frying to your preferred doneness. Serve on a bed of fluffy white rice to complete the meal.

Instructions

  1. Marinate beef

    • In a bowl, add the sliced beef, minced garlic, 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste. Mix well, coating the beef evenly. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes, or for best results, overnight.

    Add more flavor and save time by marinating the beef the night before but keep it within 3 days.

  2. Fry marinated beef

    • In a pan on medium-high heat, add 3 Tbsp olive oil and sear the marinated beef for 5 minutes for a medium doneness or until fully cooked.
