  • 100 g fresh shitake mushrooms

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 15 g sugar 

  • 1 sprig coriander for garnish

Pan Seared Mushrooms with Plums

Blushed juicy plums are the stand-out star in this stir-fry triple mushroom dish. Flavoured with garlic and onions, a fistful of red plums, blistered till jammy-soft, adds fruity sweetness to a sizzling vegetarian pot that’s oozing with umami juices from oyster, button and shitake mushrooms. Best eaten with rice on a lazy weekend.

Instructions

  1. Preparing ingredients

    • Slice King Oyster Mushroom.

    • Dice Shiitake Mushrooms.

    • Thinly slice button mushrooms.

    • Pit and slice the plums into quarters.

  2. Cooking the ingredients

    • On high heat, add oil to pan, wait till the pan starts to smoke.
    • Add in onions and garlic, fry till golden brown 
    • Add in the mushrooms and fry till golden brown, season with salt and pepper
    • Add in plums and sugar and cook them for about 5mins or until they are soft.

Plate and Serve!

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
