6 pcs ripe sweet plantains (Saba bananas), peeled
500 ml water
250 g brown sugar
5 ml vanilla
500g crushed ice
60 - 75 ml evaporated milk per serving
2 pcs pandan leaves (optional, for garnishing)
| Choose ripe but firm sweet plantains (Saba bananas) in making this recipe. Overripe bananas are sweeter but it would turn mushy and pulpy when boiled with water.
Garnish with a thinly sliced pandan leaves and serve chilled.
