Milo Dinosaur Brownies

We love our Milo Dinosaurs, so why not have it as a brownie? Dense and chewy, this Milo brownie is familiar and indulgent all at once.Like normal brownies, they are incredible easy to make and is often the go-to recipe for whipping up something quick for the kids over the weekend. Milo adds a sweet, malty taste to this classic dessert, and pairs so well with all that chocolate-y goodness.

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chocolate

    • Place a heatproof mixing bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. Add the milk chocolate and stir until everything is melted and is shiny
    • Allow to cool before use.

  2. Mix the base ingredients

    • In a mixing bowl, add the butter, sugar and eggs.
    • Stir well till evenly incorporated, then fold in the condensed milk and milk chocolate.

  3. Mix in the dry ingredients

    • Add the Milo powder, flour and salt and mix till just incorporated.


  4. Bake

    • Pre-heat the oven to 170⁰C, then line a 9”x 5” loaf tin with baking paper and brush lightly with oil.
    • Pour mixture into tin.
    • Place in the oven and bake for 13-16 minutes, testing from 13mins with a toothpick or cake tester till cooked to your preference.
    • Remove the brownies from the oven and allow to cool completely in the pan before removing from the pan and cutting into squares.


Plate and Serve!

Dust liberally with Milo powder before serving.
