Es Mangga Susu is a refreshing drink that is popular in Indonesia. Made with a sweet blend of mangoes and condensed milk, this creamy concoction is topped with jelly for a contrast in texture. Enjoy it on a hot day or as a treat for iftar.

Instructions

  1. Make jelly

    • In a pot, add 100ml water and jelly powder. Cook it over low heat and stir well. 
    • Once it comes to a boil, remove and set it in a container.
    • Once it cools and harden, cut it into 1cm squares and set aside.

    | Chef's Tips: You may change jelly with nata de coco or aloe vera

  2. Blend ingredients

    • Dice 1 mango into 1cm cubes. Set aside.
    • Take the other 2 mangoes, remove the seeds and add them into a blender.
    • Add fresh milk, sugar, ice cubes and blend it well.

    | Chef's Tips: For mango selection, choose the ripe one to make the taste greater

Assemble and Serve!

In a glass, add the jelly cubes, ice cubes and the blended mango juice. Top it up with the mango cubes and sweetened condensed milk.  Serve.
