Es Lilin Kacang Ijo is an icy Indonesian treat that resembles the shape of a candlestick. While it comes in many different flavors, this particular popsicle is made with a sweet and creamy mixture of coconut milk, brown sugar and green beans. Cool down with this frozen delight on a hot day!

Instructions

  1. Make milk mixture

    • In a pot, add water, coconut milk, green beans, brown sugar, corn starch and cook over medium heat and stir well.
    • Once the green beans turn soft, remove from heat and set aside. This will take about 10 minutes.
    • Let it cool to room temperature.

    | Chef's Tips: Brown sugar can be replaced with white sugar.

  2. Bag and freeze

    • Once it cools, use a funnel and pour them into food safe plastic tubes bags. Seal them up and put them in the freezer overnight.
