Es Jagung Jelly is a refreshing drink commonly found in Medan, West Sumatra. As the name implies, this Indonesian beverage uses corn and jelly as its main ingredients. With its sweet and fresh flavors, it is perfect to have on a hot day.

Instructions

  1. Blend corn mixture

    • In a pot, add 200ml water, corn and sugar. Over medium heat, bring it to a boil and that the corn is tender. 
    • With a blender, add the corn and its water (after it has cooled down) and condensed milk. Blend till smooth and set aside

  2. Boil jelly

    • In a pot, add 100ml water and gelatin. Stir well and cook over low heat. Bring it to a boil and set it in a container.
    • After it cools and harden, cut the jelly into ½ cm squares and set aside.

Chill and Serve!

In a glass, add the jelly cubes, ice cubes and the blended corn juice. Serve.
