How To: Prepare Meat Free Protein

You can prepare 3 kinds of meat free protein in a snap! Here, we’re using Quorn’s Meat Free Fillets, Meat Free Pieces, and the Meat Free Mince. And it’s incredibly easy with just a hot oiled pan, and an oil of your choice. Most Asian kitchens would have a regular vegetable oil and aromatic sesame oil, which scents your “meat” which a rich, nutty, finish. Though we recommend sesame oil for the minced pieces for a tastier chew, either one is fine. It’s so simple – straight from the freezer and into the pan! Don’t forget to toss and turn your meat free protein, so all sides are deliciously sizzled to a light brown.

    • Using a non-stick pan, add 40g vegetable oil and add the frozen Quorn Meat Free Fillets.
    • Pan fry on medium heat for about 3 to 5 min, till they are light brown.
    • Halfway through cooking, lightly toss them to ensure all the sides are browned evenly.

    • Using a non-stick pan, add 40g vegetable oil and add the frozen Quorn Meat Free Pieces.
    • Pan fry on medium heat for about 3 to 5 min, till they are light brown.
    • Halfway through cooking, lightly toss them to ensure all the sides are browned evenly.

  3. Preparing the Meat Free Mince

    • Using a non-stick pan, add 40g sesame oil, and add the frozen Quorn Meat Free Mince.
    • Pan fry on medium heat for about 3 to 5 min, till they are light brown.
    • Halfway through cooking, lightly toss the mince to ensure it is evenly browned.
    • The mince is now ready to be used in the Meat Free Bibimbap recipe


Plate and Serve!

For best results, you do not need to defrost or thaw the meat free protein prior to cooking.
