Pura Brasa

Spring is in the air at Pura Brasa with their newest seasonal seafood-themed menu! Savour in gourmet delicacies with their limited-time-only dishes like Patatas Bravas with Hokkaido Uni (S$16 for 2 pieces), Hokkaido Uni Cream Croquette (S$10 for 2 pieces), Josper-frilled Scallop with Caviar (S$36), Catalan-style Suquet de Peix (S$36) and our best pick, Squid Ink Paella with Hokkaido Uni (S$68). We were certainly transported into the ocean with these delicacies! Available from now till 30 April 2021

P.S. It’s highly recommended to order their Grilled Octopus (S$20) from their ala carte menu to complete your seafood affair!

Sake Maru

Delve into a gastronomical sake pairing of modern Kappo-style Japanese cuisine at SAKEMARU! Nestled in a shophouse with a quirky peep window by its door, expect a cosy buzzing hideout with a great selection of sakes from small breweries in Japan like Isojiman Jumaiginjo and Toyobijin Jundo Ichizu Yamadanishiki. Pair your sake with light bites like Assorted Sashimi 6 Kinds (S$27), Charcoal Grilled Fatty Tuna Collar (S$39), Dried Fig Mascarpone served with Toasted Baguette (S$14), and our favourites, A4 Miyazaki Sukiyaki with Spring Vegetables ($35) and Scallop Claypot Rice ($49). Looking for more than sake and light bites? They have a 15-course Omakase tasting menu from S$200 too!

Friends Bak Kut Teh 老朋友肉骨茶

Get comfy in your tummy with Friends Bak Kut Teh, the newest fast-casual eatery in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District! They bring affordable and humble-but-soulfully good Bak Kut Teh and zi char in a very comfortable location. Expect not only one type of Bak Kut Teh, but three different types! From herbal Bak Kut Teh to the local Teochew peppery style and our favourite, Lam-Kut-Teh. Pair your favourite soup goodness with their side dishes like their Thai-style Steamed Sea Bass (S$15), Salted Egg Prawn (S$18), Braised Salted Vegetable (S$3.50) or the must-have Fried Dough Sticks (S$2.50).

Psst, looking for breakfast or tea break snacks instead? Available daily from 8am - 11am and 3pm - 5pm, find a range of delightful snacks from Canton Cheong Fun, various puffs, Butterfly Bun and Ham Chim Peng available at their front counter! Snacks are priced from S$1.20 onwards.

Crustacean lovers out there, there’s one place you should check out! Moving from private dining to a small quaint place in Bugis, the quirky HolyCrab is now in the heart of the city. Indulge in all-time favourites like Green Assam Fish (S$88), Green Mumba (S$90/kg), Scorched Vermicelli (S$16) and their Signature HolyCrab Fried Rice (S$16) or their new quirky named dishes - oOoOtak (S$90/kg), Open Sesame (from S$28), Crabtree & Evelyn (S$28). Must-try their new dishes, Capricorn (Salted Egg Corn, S$15), Inception (Scotch Egg with an Asian twist, S$11) and our favourite, Cow Pei Cow Bu (S$128)! Celebrate Spring with BreadTalk’s gorgeous bakes in pretty shades of pink! Perfect for celebrations, their six-inch cake, Party Pink (S$44.80), is topped with fresh Korean strawberries, blueberries and rosemary. Too much? There are other cake options like Rolling in Pink (S$8.80) – a swiss roll filled with strawberry jam and buttercream, Strawberry Light Cheesecake (S$12.80) – a Japanese-style soufflé cheesecake for you to pick!
